WHAT’S YOUR BACKGROUND?

ROLD SKOV is a project that was born in 2017 from my passion for a certain aesthetic obviously linked to clothing, with purely personal taste, and that has always fascinated me since I was a kid and spent entire afternoons researching on eBay. Of course, behind a project like this there are huge sacrifices and for this I will never end to thank my family who has always supported me in my choice to reverse my life path having worked for a long time. My life path, having worked as a private investigator after a three-year degree in Criminology, not exactly a course inherent to what I’m developing now. Everything that orbits around the world of ROLD SKOV is the result of a strictly personal everything that revolves around the world of ROLD SKOV is the result of a strictly personal background, ranging from my passion for fashion, of course, but which certainly also touches on other macro strands such as music, photography, design, sport, etc., and which over the years I have explored in a real and not superficial way, as many people are used to doing today; for this reason it has never been difficult for me to understand which direction to take for the brand, I already knew what imagery I would like to create, do you understand what I mean?

THE CONCEPT OF YOUR COLLECTION?

Of course, like every brand, I have my own role models, who can be either people who have influenced me over the years or certain historical periods of time, such as the 90s.

It’s no secret that one of my biggest role models on an aesthetic level is Liam Gallagher, personally a perfect mix of style and being a rock star. Doing ‘research’ is a term that sounds like a daily mantra to me, even if it is abused nowadays. Although it is fundamental to have points of reference that have made me give strong credibility to the work I’m doing with ROLD SKOV, I believe that today it is also very important to keep up to date at 360 degrees, it is important to understand how the worlds around me move even if those same worlds in some respects are light years away from my visions.

WHAT ARE YOUR LUCIDITY PILLS?

Fortunately, they are not bought in pharmacies. Especially in a very complicated period like the one we are living today, lucidity is an almost unknown term but it is essential to understand how to plot the path in the best way. I have always been used to being in the company and sharing, discussing everything about ROLD SKOV with people I trust completely and the fact that everything happens with the utmost sincerity and clarity makes me very proud in some way of what has been created so far. Somehow lucidity is easier to maintain when you are lucky enough to have people around you with whom you can deal with on a daily basis. Also my family, as I was saying above, certainly plays a primary role in this. Their presence and tranquillity, which they have always shown me, especially in dealing with more difficult periods in the past, has allowed me to be more centred today, more lucid, and to know how to handle uncomfortable and unpleasant situations that I was certainly unable to do at the beginning of the journey.
