WHAT’S YOUR BACKGROUND?

My name is Rebecca, I am 28 years old and I live and work in Rome.
I am a digital illustrator and currently work on illustrations for book covers and puzzles. I obtained my degree in Fashion design in Rome and after a period of experience as a seamstress, I started my path in illustration. From my training in fashion comes my illustrative style characterised by filiform figures, extremely stylised and exaggerated in their anatomical structures. I love the decadent and the grotesque.

WHAT ARE YOUR SOURCES OF INSPIRATION?

My main source of inspiration is women, I love drawing women’s hands, lips and eyes.

In my illustrations I tend to exaggerate these anatomical parts, creating very long eyelashes, almost too heavy for the figure, hands with exaggeratedly tapered and long fingers, which give the appearance of a witch.
