I was born in 1991 in Genoa, where I grew up and studied until 2014. The same year I moved to Florence to continue my studies in Communication Design. After graduation I found a job in a creative agency in Florence where I currently hold the role of creative account. I grew up with the notes of De Andrè, the “slerfe” of focaccia and salt on the skin.
I’ve been drawing since I was a child, I had an artistic education and working in the creative field was a natural and beautiful consequence. I am constantly traveling between my hometown and the city where I work. I can’t stay away from my seaside for too long so whenever I can, I come home. I have to say though that I’ve been lucky: one is the most beautiful city in the world and the other, well it’s Florence.
I can get passionate and interested in the most varied things, things that in some periods of my life can become brief but intense obsessions.
On these obsessions of the moment I try to build subjects, even if in reality they last very little, it often happens that one day I wake up and everything I did or produced the day before I do not like or is now old news to me. I have started so many things that I will never finish. Certainly the female subject is a constant, but I haven’t always represented her as in my latest works, in the flesh and with pink cheeks. I’ve had periods in my life where everything was much darker, drier and drier and so were the drawings. I like to think that I’m happy now and so color has filled every canvas.
Be kind and surround yourself with kind people.
