WHAT’S YOUR BACKGROUND?

I was born in Florence in 1985 and I started drawing around 1986. I haven’t stopped myself yet.
After high school I attend Florence Polimoda and Milan Domus Academy. In Milan I luckily started my fashion internship in Marni. After few years I decided to move to Emilia-Romagna, where I first worked for Autre Chose as clothing designer and then for Abraham Industries group.
In these years I concentrate my passion for print design and I decide to become a freelance fashion and print designer. So I began to collaborate with several Italian companies. In parallel, I also carry on my passion for illustration and about one year ago I took part in a exhibition of Interno Cinque, in Bagnacavallo (created by Paolo Tassinari, Tasacasa’s owner). After this beautiful experience, I start to take every good opportunity to exhibit my new designs. In this period I understand that separating the passion for design from the material pleasure of the fabric is quite difficult, so the desire to carry my illustrations on scarves and textile furnishings arrive spontaneously. One of my most recent works includes illustrations inspired by the colorful world of birds, born in collaboration with Valeria Bersanetti, creator of the Adais brand.

WHAT DO YOU GET INSPIRED TO CREATE YOUR ILLUSTRATIONS?

My greatest source of inspiration is the world of animals, domestic and wilds ones.

The stylistic code of my works can be found in the background passage of the human being, to whom he steals the show an extravagant animal universe that takes possession of everyday contexts (armchairs, bedrooms, etc.) and communicates through a language without words, of colors only. The primary objective of this reversal of the plan is to transport the viewer into unusual atmospheres capable of making them forget the routine for few minutes. And why not send a love message to our roommates on planet Earth?

WHAT ARE YOUR LUCIDITY PILLS?

Unfortunately I forgot them in an other bag. But don’t think badly, I was
clear-headed.
