WHAT’S YOUR BACKGROUND?
Passionate about Independent Design, Subcluture, Nostalgia, Vinyls, Underground Culture, we decided in February 2020 to join forces and found Boredom Ravers: a brand that seeks daily to make choices of awareness and sustainability. The Brand is a direct reflection of the brackground of all the people who collaborate in the project: “we believe that there is no more effective channel of expression and vehicle of communication than design and fashion”. That’s why we share our values on sustainability and human rights through bold prints and a unisex design conceived to dress any body. Any gender:
THE CONCEPT OF YOUR COLLECTION?
“BE THE SOUND NOT THE ECHO” CAPSULE / SS 2021 . Creating this collection made us reflect on the fact that we tend to place a secondary value on clothes forgetting that the history of costume and design teaches us that clothing has been, and should still be, a necessary and individual form of manifestation:
we are the sum of the people around us and our connections are different in terms of vocation, age, interests and more. “BE THE SOUND NOT THE ECHO’ declares that HIGHLIGHTING DIFFERENCES MEANS EQUALITY, that ACTING INDIVIDUALLY MEANS THINKING COLLECTIVELY and that MANY DIFFERENT VOICES TOGETHER CAN BECOME SOUND.
WHAT ARE YOUR LUCIDITY PILLS?
Awareness and knowledge are and will be our eternal motive. In the history of aesthetics, fashion, subculture and design, revolutions have occurred that have shattered all paradigms to common perceptions and this cannot and must not be forgotten. Concern for our planet and people is our rule. We are so happy to be part of this generational change where concern for others and the environment are, at last, becoming a State of Mind. Irony is our medium. Conveying messages through clothes almost always has to involve the subtlety of English irony and the boorishness of Italian irony.
